About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the connection between the human and the mystical, using the contrast of black and white to create an air of mystery and profound silence. The figure with bunny ears and the moon create a magical atmosphere, full of stillness and reflection. This piece will bring an enigmatic energy to your space, inviting you to dream and explore the invisible.
Francisco de Luna, a photographer and conceptual artist born in Aguascalientes, uses a fusion of photography and intervening painting, drawing inspiration from the chiaroscuro tradition of Dutch painting and the technical rigor of black and white. His style combines oil strokes and careful interplay of light and shadow to abstract the human body, stripping it of identity. His works invite intimate and universal contemplation, conveying a powerful blend of mystery, fragility, and sensuality, where the human essence becomes a visual language that transcends borders.
