About this artwork
For a living being whose existence is fully imbricated with its environment, whose only existing clock is the one marked by the sun and for each of the specific tasks to which they dedicate themselves with total dedication, time seems to unfold as one more dimension , through which one moves like someone traveling on a road. Not being a slave to time, but using it as it needs, without haste, without pause. The author is caught in that loop when observing…
the bird, which almost meditates while preening. It is infected by that slow rhythm, the absence even of rhythm, from that alone being, a luminous bird that sees time pass without moving from the only space it needs to later conquer it fully with a simple spread of wings.

« Painting and drawing are a way of communicating with reality and elaborating upon my own language, allowing me to dialogue with the lights and the shadows. »
Francisco Hernandez is a Spanish artist who has exhibited his paintings nationally, in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and France. He is fascinated by the light, movement, and color linked to nature and human beings, as well as the dialogue established by lights and shadows. Hernande believes that we live immersed in a rhythm in which we have disconnected from reality, marked by the sun and elements. For him, returning to nature is the fastest way to reconnect with oneself.
