About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the essence of the ephemeral. Layers of acrylic and pigment intertwine to create a topography of feeling, reflecting fleeting moments that together weave a vibrant story. It evokes the emotional terrains we traverse, bringing a reflective and meditative energy to any living space with its earthy hues and evocative textures.

« I allow myself to be guided by the chemistry of the pigments. »
Franck Bertran is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions nationally, as well as in Ecuador, Spain, and Austria. Every time he begins a new composition, he likens his artistic process to embarking upon an adventure. Bertran's bold abstractions are created in a meditative state, where the speed of the gesture and the "slowness of the glance" is paramount. He most often employs acrylics and pigments on linen or canvas.
