About this artwork
This painting was created on January 14, 2024, the night of the cyclone in Reunion Island.
My Muse was supposed to join me to spend an indefinite number of hours in mandatory confinement.
A few minutes before the red alert was issued, she told me that she wouldn't be coming.
This triggered an outburst of anger in me which I projected onto the canvas.
She finally asked me to come and get her, which I did, defying the prohibition.
I am leaving… this painting unfinished.
