About this artwork
Imagine that in order to be all the same, they will take from the one who has to distribute equally, because obviously it is very difficult for everyone to live luxurious lives and everyone to be super-rich. Capitalism has many things to resolve, but this system definitely understands that we are not the same. Do you want to know which ideas are better? Look where people migrate.
My intention of portraying an Asian girl with makeup reminds me of… the idea of disguising ideas to make them look like others... The representation of the Asian character is often related to strong communist ideas, the great Chinese revolution has been responsible for building this imprint; the eccentric makeup and opulence are elements of a strong influence of Capital, therefore a strong desire to distinguish from the rest of society is born in those who position themselves with an enormous increase in Wealth, even becoming generational.

« The art must be how to see a high-performance athlete play or a scientist talk about quantum physics and we know that not everyone can do it. »
Frank Arias is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Cuba. He cites his sources of inspiration as originating from the great mystery of life outside of our planet. Arias is intrigued about the genesis of life and the possibility of civilizations that are more advanced than us. His figurative compositions teem with diverse characters and scenes that are not found in reality, portrayed with a hint of irony and satire.
