About this artwork
The "human sounds" series addresses the complete dissolution of the figure into an organic, abstract mass in a room. The figure transforms into a pure, large-format painting of color, rhythm and composition. It's the sound of a character.
In 2020, curator Martin Koller came up with the idea of exhibiting these works in landscape format. This idea was implemented in 2021 in the solo exhibition "Pulse and Color". The figurative context also gives… way in favor of a more landscape-based approach.
Both forms work very well and are possible.
Note: Due to the emotional painting style and the use of bold and lean over the years, craquelure appeared in some places. It is a normal process of the long drying process and partially desirable. If you are seriously interested, please have more detailed photos sent to you if this has not been documented accordingly

Frank Pieperhoff is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, Poland, and North Macedonia. The founder of the KUNSTGUT Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, his diverse works are divide into two distinctive themes: human existence and color. In his artistic process, Pieperhoff fuses modern and classic techniques with oils and acrylics on canvas or fabric.
