Here the artist is seen in tense activity. One hand seems to want to protect the other hand from an aggressive action. An inner tension arises that permeates the entire work. The body built out of the darkness grows three-dimensionally out of the picture area. The numerous glazes make this work appear new again and again with every changing light situation.

Frank Pieperhoff is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, Poland, and North Macedonia. The founder of the KUNSTGUT Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, his diverse works are divide into two distinctive themes: human existence and color. In his artistic process, Pieperhoff fuses modern and classic techniques with oils and acrylics on canvas or fabric.
