About this artwork
This painting radiates powerfully but also meditatively into the room. It's kind of a steady state for me that sends both hot and cold signals. If you concentrate on the blue, turquoise areas, it radiates more cold, if you concentrate on the warm red-orange areas, it radiates more embers and fire.
Due to the numerous overpaintings here, too, the picture initially appears rather dark with light elements. With good lighting - like a spotlight or… bright daylight from the side (no sun) - the colors are there right away.

Frank Pieperhoff is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, Poland, and North Macedonia. The founder of the KUNSTGUT Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, his diverse works are divide into two distinctive themes: human existence and color. In his artistic process, Pieperhoff fuses modern and classic techniques with oils and acrylics on canvas or fabric.
