About this artwork
Stunning abstracted landscape... limes, prussian blue and sienna acrylics as well as blue inks... bucket loads of layering and texture...
All of my abstracts come off a deep base and always include textured layers from the base to the top. This painting, like all of my pieces, is a mixture of acrylics, inks and milked sugars with intermittent use of oil based layers.
These gorgeous pieces are created on a 40mm frame wrapped in linen, with a triple… gloss coat and gallery finished edges. I take my depth of canvas to a different level believing a canvas has 5 sides and should be painted and finished as such. Did I mention I love commissions? So, if you would like a similar piece to this one, different sizes, colours formats etc, just hit me up! I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
I have been a full-time artist for 10 years now and feel blessed that I can do this wonderful thing for a job.

« I've learnt not to take life too seriously as no one gets out alive. »
Franko is an exciting Australian painter who was first inspired to create art after visiting a gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife. Now, Franko uses multiple layers to create highly textured and diverse works. Allowing himself to be guided by intuition, Franko's works garner a life of their own before he gently guides them in a certain direction. Franko's pieces, which range from abstract works to pop art, burst with optimism, texture, and electric color.
