Franz Fox is a passionate Cuban painter based in the US who has exhibited his work nationally. He harnesses inspiration from the colors that were at his fingertips during his youth on the island, as well as experiences from his many travels after moving from Cuba to the States. Fox composes vibrant paintings that center on a figurative image which he then surrounds with abstract elements. He considers his style as a sort of psychic automatism, wherein priority is given to the process, emphasizing impulse over premeditated composition.
