The raw Chinese rice paper is colored with pigments and dried. Every single sheet is hand sculpted and is unique.
The individual sheets are coated, collaged and refined with many layers of oil and acrylic.
This gives the work of art a special feel, expressiveness, depth and three-dimensionality.

« I create sensitive, poetic images. »
Frederic Paul is a talented young emerging artist from Germany. His abstract paintings are inspired by the vibrant colors, spices, floral diversity, and general intensity of Asian cities and landscapes. Using oil and acrylic paints on canvas made with the finest rice paper, Paul brings his painting to life, giving each composition dimension and depth. His paintings are profound, expressive, and offer an overall coherent composition.
