About this artwork
"I'm interested in symbols of power that smile. Animals that remain silent. And spaces that say more when no one speaks."
Sublime, untouched, almost divine, the white horse Incitatus stands at the center of a silent world. Inspired by the historical figure from the time of Emperor Caligula, the painting tells a story of power, symbolism, and the bizarre beauty of political staging.
Between classical architecture, overripe fruit, and an empty… throne, the animal positions itself not as a servant, but as a symbol. The pearl-studded mane, the cool marble, the silent columns – everything points to an order that is not questioned, but represented.
Incitatus is more than a horse—he is a mirror. For representation without content, for authority without voice, for the theater of power.
This work interweaves art history, allegory and contemporary criticism into an aesthetic reflection on decadence, projection and the emptiness behind the facade.
