About this artwork
Seascapes have always played a major role in painting, at least since Gerhard Richter. This form of representation of the sea with 25 stretcher frames 30 x 30 x 4 cm in a square is a new variant and allows different perspectives. Each individual stretcher frame looks like a piece of the lake. While the whole surface, the 25 stretcher frame looks like a plan view. The monochrome pieces all have an individual structure, thus reflecting the diversity… of the sea, are numbered and leave room for the viewer's imagination and always new insights. This strong wall leaves a lasting impression on the viewer and enables a new perception of the sea .
« My work on canvas should arouse feelings in the viewer. Then my work has achieved its goal. »
