About this artwork
The artist created the "Nudes" series during his studies at the University of Tübingen's drawing institute from 2010 to 2017. The 133 acrylic works are all created on Fabriano Pittura acrylic gouache paper (50 x 70 cm, fine, 400 g/m²) and wonderfully illustrate the artist's development over seven years. Here at the drawing institute, he studied his theoretical and practical foundations, as well as representational, perspective, and anatomical drawing,…
developing his own personal style. From nude studies, his path led through compositional drawing to nude painting. His pronounced talent for working with color became clearly evident. As Hansdieter Werner wrote in the GEA on October 12, 2011, "The nudes radiate calm and strength. They are self-contained."
