Here the artist chooses the colors of his picture to make feelings, moods, mental states or aesthetic feelings visible. The artist's only aim is to increase the expression of the picture through the choice of colour. This happens in connection with the change of form. color and shape are
changed so much that what is shown does not reveal a motive from real life -
the degree of abstraction increases to the non-representational. This feature came… of color
only since the beginning of the 20th century, when the Expressionists things
not only wanted to represent, but wanted to express something that is behind things. The artist enhances this here by allowing the color to act alone to appeal to the viewer's emotions.
