About this artwork
Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter Day 2024. In this work I capture my deep emotions of these days using acrylic in an abstract style. The central cross, symbolizing Christ's suffering for my sins, is in the foreground against a stormy, ice-blue texture that represents the turbulence of all that is happening on this special day in world history. The small yellow light is surrounded by a cave-like structure: the tomb could not hold the…
resurrected Christ. What at first seemed like a shameful defeat became a sublime victory over all the powers of evil. This painting is intended to inspire the viewer emotionally as well as cognitively to allow the centrality of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to sink in for their own lives. In times of challenge, it is a symbol of triumph and divine victory over hell, death and the devil.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Friedmar Zimpfer, a profound acrylic artist under the artist name "NaSir", was a friend and assistant to the nationally successful artist Reinhard Carl Failer (deceased 2023) for many years. In his studio, he learned to shape his own creativity and willingness to experiment into large-format abstract canvas works of art. In his works, intense colors meet complex shapes and three-dimensional structures, an interplay that creates remarkable depth and dynamism. Embedded in profound life experiences and an unshakable faith, his pictures mix the emotions of courage, joy of life and curiosity with the reality of life's hurdles and darkness. He also knows how to integrate profound wisdom from the Bible into both small and large picture formats.
