About this artwork
In my canvas, I combined acrylics and oils to capture an essence of suspended time, playing with gold to emphasize precious moments. I represent the dichotomy between realism and abstract, where figurative forms emerge from a semi-fuzzy dream. It is a vision that challenges traditional perception, inviting the viewer to reflect on imperfect beauty, on historical value, on the persistence of humanity. This work will enliven any space with its history… and dynamic spirit.
« I prefer to be a good craftsman than a mediocre artist. »
Fulvio Dot is an experienced painter and draftsman based in Italy whose work has been exhibited nationally, as well as in China, France, Canada and Spain. He describes his compositions as historical places “contaminated” with contemporary symbols and content. Dot’s striking, textural and almost three-dimensional pieces are created primarily with acrylics, oils and collage on canvas.
