About this artwork
The work is a diptych, composed of a canvas of 120x110 cm and a canvas of 120x50 cm. Technically the painting is made of oil, enamel and stucco with the insertion of string and pieces of bark.
In my work, I have fused oil and email to capture the dual essence of woods and digital modernity. The rich textures and vertical lines evoke tree trunks, while the inserted barcode numbers reflect the intrusion of modern technologies and societies into nature.… This work is an invitation to reflect on coexistence and the environmental impacts of our contemporary lifestyle. It will be an inspiring and thoughtful presence in any home environment.

Fulvio Dot is an experienced painter and draftsman based in Italy whose work has been exhibited nationally, as well as in China, France, Canada and Spain. He describes his compositions as historical places “contaminated” with contemporary symbols and content. Dot’s striking, textural and almost three-dimensional pieces are created primarily with acrylics, oils and collage on canvas.
