Here, I've combined the exclusive architecture of Monaco's harbor with a stunning sculpture from the Picasso Museum's collection in Antibes. Two female figures reveal inner contradictions. The artwork tells a story about the permissible or forbidden fascination with the perfect male body. Past and present are captured in an urban space. My aim is to make contrasts visible and evoke emotions of longing and observation—a captivating artwork full of… depth and mysterious energy for your home.
For the printing method, I chose a high-resolution, highly detailed ultraHD photo print mounted behind 2 mm glossy acrylic glass, in gallery quality. The backing board is made of sturdy aluminum composite panel (Aludibond).
Frame: The 1 mm narrow aluminum frame provides a subtle yet impressive look.
Finish. Due to its shallow depth, the image protrudes effectively from the frame by 1.5 mm. Colors: Silver, Gold, White.
Gabriele Breu uses photography and digital image editing, drawing on a classical training in watercolor, oil painting, and drawing. Her technique combines clear structures with soft transitions, blends, and color shifts, creating distinctive works that exist somewhere between photography, digital painting, and collage. Her art opens up emotional spaces and invites reflection on perception, reality, and the magic of the moment, evoking feelings of well-being, hope, and inspiration in the viewer.
