In my work, I passionately combine acrylic, oil and collage elements with Indian ink, lacquer and natural pigments on paper to create an abstract work of art that speaks of the earthiness and texture-rich layers of our existence. Gabriele Middelmann, an award-winning painter and photographer, has exhibited her works in her native Germany, as well as in Belgium, the United States, Austria, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. The themes in her pieces delve into concepts of time, space, surface, depth and the traces we leave behind.
