« As an artist, I enter a dark room with no light and find my way out, facing the unknown, creating something out of nothing, containing an emotional resonance beyond me. »
Gail Winbury is an American artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited in the United States, as well as in Italy, Germany, and Mexico. Her works explore the human condition and the joys, sorrows, losses, and triumphs that we all experience. In addition, Winbury incorporates her psychology background into her compositions and translates the themes of identity, childhood, love, sexuality, mortality, and growth. Her striking abstract expressionist pieces are created using oils, oil pastels, and graphite on paper or canvas.
