Lilac Mist is part of the series “Blooming Silence” — a collection of floral still lifes painted with palette knife, where softness, memory, and quietude unfold through color and gesture.
In this piece, lilac blooms dissolve into a hazy, atmospheric field of muted purples and soft greys. The use of oil paint and textured strokes gives the bouquet a sense of fragility suspended in stillness, as if time itself paused inside the petals.
The composition… is both intimate and meditative — a moment caught between presence and fading. The mist is not only visual, but emotional: a metaphor for things remembered, felt, but never spoken.
Lilac Mist invites the viewer to slow down and linger in silence, where tenderness and distance coexist on the same surface.
