The earthly and the spiritual. Earth and sky. The girl acts here as a conduit, connecting these two elements. With her slender figure reaching upward, she seems to ground the raging sky, bringing harmony into it through the white doves.By releasing the bird from her hands, she performs a sacred ritual of liberation. Along with this dove, she lets go of her past fears, regrets, and doubts accumulated in the shadows of bygone days. From this moment…

I, Galyna Antonenko, am an architect by training.
I studied painting for six years in the private studio of the renowned Ukrainian artist V. Sosna. I use primarily bright acrylic paints in my works.
My art is an attempt to stop time.
When I paint women's portraits, it's as if I whisper to them: "Stop, moment—you are so beautiful!"
I am inspired by those brief, almost imperceptible moments when a person becomes truly visible—without posing, without protection, simply themselves.
The women in my paintings are not models, but reflections of inner strength, vulnerability, and beauty in simplicity.
I seek in every face that facet of light where life is hidden.
Children's portraits occupy a special place in my work. Adults strive to appear, while children strive simply to feel. And I strive to capture this pure feeling: delight, surprise, sadness, joy—everything that makes us alive. My paintings are more than just images. It is a dialogue with the moment.
