Gary Bayliss is an artist based in Japan whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and the United States. He describes his works as being strongly focused on color, light, and the interplay between them. Bayliss' theme of choice is the landscape and the majority of his compositions are created in plein air utilizing the alla prima technique, as it allows him to capture the fleeting moments of light and shadow.
