About this artwork
just completed a colorful calvary cross painting. I named it "Risen" for Christ was cruxcified, and came back as proof to all that he is our god and savior! I used pallet knifes and loose brush strokes to create the image in my mind. INRI or I.N.R.I. represents the Latin inscription IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDÆORVM (Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum), which in English translates to "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews" (John 19:19).
