Gene Barbe
France
« Considering all possible origins and destinations, I paint instinctively, beyond my own identity, trying to reach out for a universal presence, poetic and imperfect, witnessing the ancient and the immediate. »
Gene Barbe is an artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally. He describes his artistic expression as endeavoring to paint life, alive. Fusing the figurative with abstraction, as well as "intuitive waves", Barbe's compositions do not impose, they propose, as each of his unique pieces tells their own story. He creates using acrylics, oils, pastels, and collage on canvas.
