About this artwork
"Marine Antennas" is an abstract oil painting inspired by the vertical rhythm of sailboat masts seen from below. Soft blue tones dissolve into light, creating a sense of openness, air, and quiet movement. The thin lines resemble antennas reaching toward the sky- symbols of connection, navigation, and silent communication between sea and horizon.
Viewed from below, the masts rise like antennas- listening, waiting, connected to the invisible. Blue… dissolves into light, lines stretch toward the sky, and the sea becomes a quiet space of breath and balance. This painting is about direction, stillness, and the subtle dialogue between water and air.
« To me, painting is a heartbeat, love, perception, impetus, state, mood, and experience. At times spontaneous, but always created with an open soul. That's why I call my artworks, 'inner landscapes'. »

Horizons are a repeated subject in Petrov's compositions, which he describes as "deep and emotional", born of the planes of Dobrudzha, his birthplace. His works invite viewers to "look from within".
