About this artwork
It was somewhat by chance, during the month of May in 1991, that I discovered the Iris garden in the Parc de Bagatelle, below the world-famous Rose Garden. I was immediately dazzled by the relevance of the selections, and especially for my photographer's eye, by the harmony of the shapes and the complementarity of the play of colors. Very often, during my visits, I was struck by the extraordinary resemblance of the shapes and colors of these Irises…
with those of orchids (see my book "Orchidées-Passion" (Ed. Bordas, 1990).

Psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and since my adolescence, photography has been an art of renewal for me.
Perceiving beauty in all its forms, in all seasons: water, flowers, orchids, irises, trees, clouds, landscapes, are among my favorite subjects.
PHOTOGRAPHING: writing with light. Indeed, it occupies a privileged place in my work. First of all, daylight: direct or veiled sun, gray or blue sky, backlighting or direct light, sun reflecting on petals or on the surface of water, softness and contrast, sharp and blurred, black and white, shadows and lights... are the very substance of my photography.
I have thus acquired a great sensitivity to the vibrations of the object, whose magnificence I joyfully restore. A mystical quest, an inner experience in this magical encounter between the object and myself. A magic to which I wish to invite those who contemplate my works.
