. The spatiality achieved in this way enables the image to be continued into the room - to create an “all-round image”. The painted, geometric surfaces are not limited by the image format, but instead continue around the image… in a mirrored, constructive composition.

German artist Gerdlind was born in Mannheim in 1942. He studied at the Free Academy in Mannheim with Paul Berger-Bergner (1957-1962) and the Summer Academy in Salzburg with Oskar Kokoschka (1960). . He lives and works in Mannheim, Germany.
