from spring ... the trees in winter without leaves are bizarre shapes - I like to move through these empty trees and look through these thousands of shapes - the leaves or the snow crunch under my feet ... but when then thousands of leaves on the Trees grow - everything turns green - spring shines with new life - and an amazing feeling of happiness ...

Austria
« My pictures reflect impressions - scenes that are stored like photographs in my head, that I then try to realize in my paintings. »
Gerlinde Kosina is a committed Austrian painter whose works have featured in exhibitions and publications in Germany, Italy, Austria and the US. With oil painting as her preferred technique, she starts with chaotic stains and strokes that she then polishes with brushes, spatulas and her hands to arrive at a harmonious place. Her primary aim and theme is peace, brought to the forefront by her colours and compositions.
