About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture a moment of transformation, a subtle and almost invisible transition between who we are and who we are becoming. The figure is portrayed from behind, faceless, because it does not represent a specific individual but an open, mutable, constantly evolving identity.
Blue flows through the body like a vital energy, like a flow of information that permeates and transforms it. I sought a tension between the profoundly… human dimension—skin, hair, posture—and a colder, more rational component, linked to science: the structure of DNA, digital language, coding.
Technically, the work begins with a photographic base, then elaborated and painted with mixed media: watercolor, acrylic, and ecoline. Close-ups clearly reveal the textures and layers of color, which contribute to the image's depth and texture.
