About this artwork
An expanse of green, luxuriant lawn, on which a male figure stands, arched almost in a spasm, and with one hand pointing towards our right.
An ivy climbs the body well defined in the muscles.
At the bottom stand out the chimneys of an atomic power plant, from which steam still escapes.
Finally the sky: full of moving clouds. Threatening.
Nature always wins, adapts, changes to survive and overwhelm humanity and its inability to live together… and respect the environment.
If there were to be a post-atomic future of humanity, only the memory would remain, which would be erased precisely by the luxuriant natural life.
But there is a hope, a way out, represented by that gesture of the hand.
Where does it indicate? What do you want to tell us? Nothing is lost, it can still be done in time.

Giampiero Abate, advertising illustrator turned hyper-realist painter, explores the world through the airbrush without conventional artistic training. He uses a method that blends digital sketching and airbrushing, enhancing human perspectives in the Anthropocene with a touch of the absurd. His works inspire reflections on the need for a paradigm shift, guiding the observer towards cosmic awareness.
