About this artwork

Autumn’s Veil is a semi-abstract autumn coloured landscape with 4 fallow deer bucks in a clearing in an orange forest. It is 36x36x1.5 inches. The painting focuses on the group of deer bucks who are standing in a bright woodland clearing. Above them are shimmering vertical lines of orange, yellow, gold, purple and magenta colours which suggest autumn trees and below them are the warm rich reds of the shadows below them. Behind them across the field… there are more trees and bright light suggestion a sunset. This is a very textured painting which almost creates facets to it that change it throughout the day. The deer themselves are actual ones that I met in a woodland clearing near Mayfield in Sussex. Painted on deep edge canvas, golden green edges, ready to hang and no frame needed. Comes with certificate of authenticity.
