Summer Calling is a colourful semi-abstract oil painting of a field of flowers in summertime near the South Downs in Sussex. It is 36x24x1.5 inches. The painting shows lacy white flowers in the foreground which look as if they are in motion. see the view across a meadow towards trees and the hills beyond. This spot is loosely based on a place near Selmeston in Sussex where there is a meadow that looks directly towards the South Downs. I like to walk on the hills but I also love the fields below them where you can walk in quiet farmland undisturbed and just absorb the sounds and scents of the countryside there.
