This painting touches me particularly. My first school trip was the visit of the Breton beaches stained by the black tide. We saw this ship failed on the reefs, its prow was erect, I saw as a symbol, the head of A beast with agony. I was both fascinated and terrified by this tragedy.
Nowadays we can still see on the rocks the successful passage of strandings.
