About this artwork
Werfel's paintings are influenced by contemporary dance such as Merce Cunningham's choreography. There is a rhythmic pulse to how the spatial complexity is structured. She chose a reduced palette of soft grays and neutral colors to emphasize the choreography of marks.

Gina is a respected American painter with international residency and exhibition experience. Influenced partly by Abstract Expressionism and primarily by her visual environment, she experiments with oils, acrylics, spray paint and stencils to create layered, abstract works.
