About this artwork
I started making analytical art in 1971 by first considering the rag where the brushes are cleaned, then the back of the work, the reflected color, the modification of the texture and then every single thread that also led me to make Participatory Art. This work is the result of a very long journey where the analytical meets the minimal, with the poetics of the interweaving as a metaphor for the social fabric.
The subtle, wandering lines reflect… life's unpredictable paths and quiet moments of introspection. It's a meditation on peace and the beauty of restraint. Imagine this artwork in your home, inviting stillness and contemplation amidst the rush of daily life. It’s a gentle whisper of calm and grace.
« Art is a way to express oneself in joy and freedom, as well as the love for oneself and for others. »
Giustino Caposciutti is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and printmaker based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, Australia, and France. He describes his diverse compositions as representing messages of hope. Caposciutti's artistic practice is marked by discovery through the materials he employs. For him, after having "given birth" to a piece, it assumes the property of change, just as in the natural environment.
