The artist thus develops a visual poetics imbued with the essence of substance and matter in which his women live the dream of the canvas. Sinuous figures face two-dimensional space, giving rhythm to every available centimeter and eliminating time. Dream therefore not as an ideal atmosphere but as a suspended dimension where space-time is distorted and the actresses hover on… the surface deluding the spectator of a feeble contact. They are free but at the same time light, almost throbbing in their fragility. In most of the paintings it is not possible to clearly perceive the painted woman. He comes towards us then retreats. He watches us then we lose contact. It's elusive.
