What you see here, ladies and gentlemen, is a stain, the core element of painting. Not accidentally splattered, but precisely composed - a homage to Kasimir Malewitsch and Josef Albers.

Bas was born in today's Ukraine, and has lived in Germany since 1992. After studying art in Münster and at the acclaimed Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, he exhibits regularly in Germany. Bas deconstructs his first draft by, for example, painting over the painting with another painting and allowing chance to play a certain role.
