Discover the creation in interiors

In this oil painting I experimented with expressive dynamics and textural depth. The portrait embodies a mix of strength and vulnerability, depicting the contrasts of being human. It invites the viewer to reflect on identity and self-development. There is passion and the soul of the human experience in every stroke. In your home it will create a unique presence that encourages the exchange of ideas.

« I do not want to paint pictures according to a recipe, I want to find a recipe for every picture. »

Bas was born in today's Ukraine, and has lived in Germany since 1992. After studying art in Münster and at the acclaimed Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, he exhibits regularly in Germany. Bas deconstructs his first draft by, for example, painting over the painting with another painting and allowing chance to play a certain role.
