About this artwork
Trapeze is an exploration into connections and relationships. Looking at how we depend on support of others and sometimes we are at the mercy of others like it or not. This act we play, the dance we lead is nothing without the support of those around us and how they contribute to our own sense of meaning. This particular piece is also a personal interpretation of choices, not only the ones we make for ourselves but also the choices made for us.

- Works on commission
« Exploring and fostering positive mental health through artistic practice, creating visceral forms eluding to movement by utilizing industrial materials. »
Glenn Gibson began creating small sculptures with paperclips to occupy himself during long conference calls. Since then, he has continued to make sculptures with this chosen medium for over two decades. The Irish artist explores themes that relate to interconnectedness in an isolating world. Gibson artistic process is often a 'stream of consciousness', in which he allows the materials to show him the way. He exclusively uses wire and incorporates natural elements such as ancient bog woods, rocks, and gemstones.
