About this artwork
This series of works has an autobiographical background and was created in the loneliness and isolation of the artist in her studio during the first years of the pandemic. The motif comes from the photo album of the artist's childhood and youth and was interpreted in a painterly way. A journey into the past and to its roots and an examination of the transience of life.

Keller is fascinated by the Catalan artist Antoni Tàpies due to the thoughts, philosophy, identity and roots that are reflected in his paintings. The style of Keller is completely opposite to that of Tàpies; in her representations of her homeland, identity, women and migration, she combines figurative and abstract elements in intense, expressionistic colors.
