About this artwork
This work comes from the series (so-called collection) "nature morte", which focuses on the inanimate object. This leads us into the mysterious world of inanimate things. Painting a vase or a table does not mean the same psychological requirement as depicting “the soul” of a person on a canvas, but it is no less demanding. So what is so appealing about still life? In the early years of his creative period, the artist categorically rejected still…
life and landscape painting. Neither genre was appealing to him at all. Inspired by his trip to Rhodus in 2014, he rediscovered ancient Greece with the still life. The series comprises a total of 16 works.
