About this artwork
Jacare is an exploration of personal transformation, emotional growth, and the complex process of mental healing. Created as part of my Transformation series, the painting reflects the journey of learning to live with, understand, and gradually transform the intense aspects of one's personality.
The composition is built through multiple layers of acrylic paint, where vibrant oranges, greens, turquoise blues, and magenta tones interact in a constantly… shifting visual landscape. Areas of turbulence and calm coexist, mirroring the inner dialogue between emotional intensity and the search for balance. The painting evolved intuitively, allowing each layer to respond to the one before it, much like personal growth itself.
Hidden on the right edge of the composition is a small crocodile-like figure—the "Jacare." This subtle presence symbolizes our instinctive nature, the ancient and untamed part of ourselves that remains beneath the surface.
