'Twilight' is part of a series of paintings examining light. Grace Ainley uses bronze coloured leaf to capture light from the setting sun. This piece is bold in its simplicity. Yet the layers of metallic leaf create an intricate labyrinth. As the painting reflects the changing light, the viewer always sees something new.
