About this artwork
In this oil painting, I depicted mourners supporting and comforting one another. As a rule, we allow ourselves to cry when we lose someone we love, but we never allow ourselves to grieve when we lose a job, a relationship, or any other aspect of our lives. Feeling is necessary for every traumatic experience to heal. The monotone use of colour heightens the depressing atmosphere of loss.
