The images from this series were photographed in 30 countries worldwide. They are a collection of uncomfortable and unexpected situations that I have come across while working on other projects or while on holiday. The juxtaposition of unexpected elements forms this series of floating discordant spaces. The images are made up of various fragments that together create a new narrative that… is funny, jarring or just plain stupid. They lack logical explanation and add an unexpected lightness to life.

Graeme Williams is an internationally renowned South African painter and photographer who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, France, and Brazil. In a career spanning over thirty years as a photographer, his work has taken him to more than fifty countries. Williams' pieces have also chronicled South Africa's social and political changes and challenges. However, his personal projects are much more contemplative and emotionally expressive.
