Carla Guarino is a contemporary artist whose research explores memory, time, and identity through collage, décollage, acrylic paint, and heterogeneous materials. Her language arises from the layering, breaking, and recomposition of images and matter, in a balance between gesture, control, and transformation. Her works investigate the body and the fragment as loci of memory, creating visions suspended between presence and absence. Superimpositions, erasures, and material traces become tools to narrate the complexity of contemporary identity. Having trained at the Liceo Artistico in Aversa and the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, she combines her artistic activity with teaching Art and Image. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including “Sublimazioni materiche” (2014), curated by Luigi Fusco, Casa de la Cultura, Monóvar (Spain); Arte Fiera Padova – Contemporary Art Talent (2015); “Schegge”, Donazione Carlo Palli, Impruneta (Florence) (2025).
