About this artwork
As a youngster I was a passionate dancer myself. I went to dancing events every Saturday. This tango series was done in reminiscence of those years. I drew the pair in almost just one stroke, in black ink, using a piece of cardboard instead of a brush. This gave a wonderful variety to the thickness of the ink within the brushstroke, and thus creating a certain depth but also lucidity and lightness to the momentum of the couple's movement in their…
