About this artwork
My work is a fusion of aluminum and plastic that symbolizes the connection and rhythm of contemporary life. Each element is a reflection of vibrant emotions and the cultural diversity that surrounds us. This sculpture, located on a background reminiscent of an urban backdrop, invites the viewer to enter a visual dialogue full of energy and color. produced during the period of confinement due to Covid-19 with the intention of expanding its size. The groups of essential workers have been a source of great artistic motivation for me. The reflections to avoid the tragic aspects of the artistic message of the work brought me closer and closer to considering the appreciation of a child audience, to using simple and happy iconography for them, to playing hide-and-seek with the visit of the “invisible”.

Mª Ángeles Lázaro Guil is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Spain whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, the Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, the United States, England, Italy, Algeria, and Morocco. Through her pieces, she endeavors to recreate what she admires about nature's vital geometry by abstracting "the coordinates, axes and mathematical points that define all beings in space".
